Had an hour with my little cousin the other day, and a couple of her friends – we took a handful of photos, I’m not really a people type photographer… I mean, I love taking photos of people, but usually I don’t have to talk to them / direct them at all (think live music) but this was certainly a fun experience… I’m posting the ones that they ‘approved’ after we filtered them down… I’d like your critique on them (the photos, not my cousin and her friends)

0837 is worthy of me denying any friendship between. I mean really Simon. Selective Colour??? In all honesty, the depth of field tells more of a story than selective colour does.
I love 0754, but it does feel very wedding album esque!
0650 / 0641 are my fav ones… love them a lot!
0594 / 0594-2 (Nice Clear up, though I’d have removed the nose ring as well. Also, and this is just my opinion, The skin shine on her forehead).
This is as easy as, duplicate layer, select clone tool at 40%. Use Current and Below layers, Sample skin without shine, and a single pass over the shiny area. Job Done!
Thanks Paul! You’re right… amateur hour at happysville! (Forehead shine…) and yes, selective color (I hate too) was going across to my friends at Unknown Photographer for some long running gag on selective (urgh!) color… but hey ho… Thanks for your feedback!
